Vita

Stefan Licheri, is a venezuelan performing artist, composer, arranger, producer and luthier. He has played many instruments such as piano, flute, clarinet and saxophone but it was the guitar that developed the most interest in him. He took his first guitar lessons with Samuel Granados and began his musical studies at the superior conservatory Jose Angel Lamas with Leopoldo Igarza and at Ars Nova with Maria Eugenia Atilano. He then continued his studies from 2006 to 2009 with Eric Franceries in France. In 2009 he moved to Germany to study with guitar virtuoso Ricardo Gallen at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar where he obtained his Diplom in 2014. He is currently finishing a Masters degree in Media Art focused on Electro-acoustic music at the Bauhaus University Weimar with Professor Robin Minard.

Stefan Licheri speaks fluent spanish, german, french, italian and english.

Activities

Stefan Licheri combines his solo and chamber music activities with an active pedagogical career. He has shared stage with soloists such as conductor Olivier Tardy, Cellist Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt and flutist Carine Levine. He is an active member of the Digital Bauhaus Orchester.

In the last years Licheri has concentrated his work on electro-acoustic composition, live Electronics, solo performances and the construction of experimental instruments besides the traditional classical guitar repertory. He has been awarded with prices from the Neudeli Programm and the research center of the Bauhaus University Weimar.
